Logistics and Operations Intern
A Logistics and Operations Intern position has become available at First Care Solutions (Pty) Ltd. This developmental role provides administrative and operational support to the Logistics and Operations department. The successful candidate will assist with stock control, inventory administration, travel coordination, operational reporting, distribution activities, and general office support functions. The role offers practical exposure to logistics, operational processes, and supply coordination within a healthcare administration environment while supporting the broader business objectives of the organisation.

Minimum Requirements
- Matriculation Certificate.
- Currently studying towards a qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field would be beneficial.
- Proven desire to further personal development and career growth within the logistics and operations environment.
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
- Previous internship or administrative experience advantageous but not essential.
- Valid Driver’s Licence advantageous.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily Operations
- Assist with maintaining logistics and operational databases.
- Support stock control and distribution of stationery, uniforms, branded merchandise, and consumables.
- Assist with organising and coordinating deliveries and collections.
- Support travel and accommodation arrangements where required.
- Assist with filing, organising, and maintaining operational documentation and records.
- Support the preparation of quotations, purchase orders, and invoice documentation.
- Assist with receiving, checking, and distributing stock and materials.
- Support logistics coordination for training materials and operational requirements.
- Assist with maintaining organised and efficient operational and storage areas.
- Liaise with internal departments regarding supply and operational requirements.
- Assist with maintaining operational trackers and administrative records.
- Perform general administrative duties within the Logistics and Operations department.
- Support ad hoc operational projects and departmental requirements.
Monthly Reporting:
- Assist with researching suppliers, products, and operational service providers.
- Support operational data gathering and analysis.
- Assist with identifying process improvement opportunities.
- Research cost-effective logistics and supply solutions.
- Compile research findings into summary reports where required.
Statistic’s:
- Assist with updating inventory and stock tracking records.
- Maintain accurate logistics and operational databases.
- Assist with compiling operational and stock reports.
- Monitor stock movement and supply records.
- Support record keeping and document control processes.
Monthly Reporting:
- Assist with monthly stock and operational reporting.
- Support inventory reconciliations and record reviews.
